Check back after 8 p.m. for election results

The first results in today’s special election for expansion of the Spokane Transit Authority system, plus a sales tax extension for juvenile jails, are due shortly after 8 p.m. Check back to spokesman.com after that time for the first ballot count. Ballots can be deposited before 8 p.m. in drop boxes outside public libraries throughout the county, in the Spokane Transit Authority Plaza downtown, and outside the Elections Office at 1033 W.
