Obituary: Kelly, Dale F.
Age 87
He was born on June 7, 1927 to James and Irene Kelly.
He grew up near Minnehaha Park, and graduated from Rogers High School in 1945.
He drove Yellow Cab which led him to meeting the love of his life, Frances, and they married August 16, 1958.
He enjoyed the horse races and worked part-time as a cashier at Playfair Race Track.
He earned his AA degree at SCC and went to work as an engineering draftsman at ASC Machine Tools Inc., retiring in 1997 at the age of 70.
Always hoping to make it big, he panned for gold in northern Idaho in the early 60s.
For most of his adult life he was a member of the Eagles Aerie 2 in Spokane.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings Robert, Richard and Eugene, and his son Richard Jones.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years Frances; daughters Jackie Stockwell (Frank), Shannon Vinneau (Bryan); and daughter-in-law Cathy Jones; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend sincere appreciation and gratitude for the care given to Dad by his grandson Todd Kilmer and his wife Debbie, allowing Dad to remain in his home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Horizon Hospice of Spokane.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
No funeral services will be held at his request.
