Obituary: Ahlf, Eleanor Laura

Age 94

AHLF, Eleanor Laura (Age 94) Lifetime resident of Medical Lake, Washington, passed away September 18, 2014 in Cheney, WA.

She was born August 3, 1920 to her loving mother Amelia and father Albert Griffith in Reardan, WA.

Eleanor was a graduate of Medical Lake High School and lived a long and happy life on the farm her family homesteaded.

Her devotion to family and firm belief in God allowed her to pass peacefully with love in her heart and memories of a life well spent.

Eleanor’s sturdy roots in her family tree and dedication allowed her to bring unity to her family and she was often looked to for guidance and advice by family and friends.

Her strength and wisdom compelled many to look highly upon her.

She was a true family matriarch.

Eleanor was very involved in her community.

She was the treasurer of the Medical Lake Cemetery Association for over 30 years and took great pride in it.

She was a lifelong member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Medical Lake.

She enjoyed her time spent with her lady friends in the community playing pinochle of which she was a fierce competitor.

She is survived by her her devoted son Bill and loving daughter Donna.

Many grandchildren extended family and friends.

She is now reunited with many friends and family in Heaven including her husband Eugene (Bud), son Perry, her older brother and older sisters.

She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church or the Medical Lake Cemetery Association in her memory.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Medical Lake.
