Expand draft sign-ups

As we look at threats currently facing our country, and the resources needed to meet them, it is time to take a look again at the draft. Today, the draft law calls for the registration of males ages 18 to 25. This is not an accurate reflection of our present society. Propose that the draft age be expanded to 18 to 35; that registration include women; and that no profession or talent be excluded.

Why? Because the challenges so evident today posed by terrorism, Russian and Chinese expansionism and new forms of warfare, such as cyber, that suggest it is time for our country to meet these threats by tapping, as needed, our most important and best resource - our people - to supplement our over-burdened, core, career military men and women and their families.
