Obituary: Allen, Doris Mae (Kelly)
Age 90
She was a member of the Mary Ann Tripp’s Happy Feet Cloggers.
Doris graduated from North Central High School in 1941.
She was a homemaker until later in life when she worked for Washington Trust Bank.
As a member of the Shadle Park Presbyterian Church she served as their secretary for many years.
Doris enjoyed volunteering at Arlington Elementary School listening to students practice their skills.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents Cameron and Margaret Kelly, Gordon Allen, her husband of 52 years, and two grandsons: Jared Allen, age 8 mo.
and Kristopher Allen age 31 years.
Doris is survived by her son Gordie Allen (Sherri) of Spokane, WA; and daughter Mary Allen of Soap Lake, WA; two grandsons: Kyle Allen (Kinsi) of Spokane, WA and Cameron Allen of Seattle, WA; and three great-grandchildren: Madyson, Colton, and Marley.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the wonderful, caring staff at Royal Plaza Assisted Living and Horizon Hospice.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Spokane Union Gospel Mission in lieu of flowers.
Memorial service will be Saturday, September 20, 2014, 11am at Shadle Park Presbyterian Church.
