Obituary: Olstad, Sally V.

Age 90

OLSTAD, Sally V. (Age 90) Sally passed way in her home on August 19th, 2014.

She was born on November 24, 1923 in Centralia, WA.

She was a resident of Spokane for more than 75 years.

In Spokane she attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Marycliff High School, graduating in 1943.

For many years Sally was a house wife.

After her children were raised she earned a degree in Floral Arranging and started her own business, Sally’s Mouse House, successfully operating it for years at Halpins.

Sally was a wonderful mother and she was sincerely loved by all who knew her.

1 Corinthians 13 describes her perfectly.

Her favorite Bible passage was Psalm 91.

She lived her life for Christ Jesus.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Rekofke who preceded her in death along with her first husband Harold Cagle, her second husband, Donald Olstad, her sister, Armella Roberg, and brothers, Joseph, Edward and Rev.

Sally is survived by her nine children, James (Joanne) Cagle, Ann (Brad) Robison, Mary (Rick) Adams, Betsy (Frank) Remek, Daniel (Maddalena) Olstad, Diane Crouse, Thomas (Barbie) Olstad, Anthony (Theresa) Olstad, Colleen (Guy) Smith and numerous grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The interment will take place on Monday, September 22nd, 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall St.

The Memorial Service will follow at 5:30 p.m. at Cedar Creek Village, 8424 N. Nevada.
