In brief: Attorney general to speak at Scam Jam

SPOKANE VALLEY – AARP and the Washington State Attorney General’s Office will present Scam Jam on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at CenterPlace Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place.

Attorney General Bob Ferguson will speak. Attendees also can hear tips from con artists about whom they target and why.

Doors open at 9 a.m. The event is free, but registration is required.

SkyRide cabins get new vents

DOWNTOWN – The 15 SkyRide Over the Falls cabins were modified last week to include new vents.

The ride is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $5 for children.

Manito plant sale will be Saturday at park

SOUTH HILL – The Friends of Manito Fall plant sale will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., east of Geiser Conservatory in Manito Park, 4 W. 21st Ave.
