Obituary: Schmidt, Gerald Elwyn “Jerry”
Age 90
Jerry passed away October 15, 2014 at home in Spokane Valley with his wife and children at his side.
He is survived by Emmy, his high school sweetheart and wife of 71 years; and daughters, JerriKay (Denny) Thieren, Mary Montague and Lynn (Don) Rutherford; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Jerry was a long time resident of the Spangle, Fairfield area.
He worked for the US Postal Service for over 30 years retiring as Post Master of the Fairfield Office.
He enjoyed life and family to the fullest and will be missed by all.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on November 1, 2014 at 2 PM at the Fairfield Community Center in Fairfield WA.
