Obituary: Spencer, Daniel Duane

Age 50

SPENCER, Daniel Duane (Age 49) Daniel Duane Spencer passed from earth to heaven on September 15, 2014, of diabetic compli- cations.

Dan was born on September 22, 1964, to Lois (Dunham) and Richard Spencer, in Coeur d’Alene, ID.

Dan was the youngest of six children.

Dan loved playing baseball and basketball and growing up in Coeur d’Alene.

He attended Borsh School, St. Pauls Junior Academy, North Idaho Christian School and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School.

Dan attended Coeur d’Alene Bible Church (formerly St. Paul Memorial Church) from cradle roll thru high school.

He helped his sister Cheryl clean the church while she was a cleaning custodian at Coeur d’Alene Bible Church.

Dan met Anne Winegart while they were both working at Heritage Place.

He became very fond of the seniors there.

Dan and Anne were married on January 30, 1987 in Coeur d’Alene.

They moved to western Washington and Dan began working in Forest products industries.

He started in Tacoma, WA., and finished as an industrial electrician in Mount Vernon, WA.

While they were married, they had three children: Daniel Douglas, Andrew Jackson, Kristina Elizabeth Renee.

Dan raised the children as a single parent, being very actively involved in all their schooling, sports and activities.

In 2005, Dan had kidney and pancreas transplants.

He remained very active, had part-time jobs and always willing to help others.

Dan grew up with a deep love for dogs and had many special ones.

He was a great dog trainer and leaves behind his beloved Kalav.

Dan was very fond of horses and enjoyed riding them.

Also enjoyed helping his uncle Bruce with his carriage rides.

Dan was a Hebrew language scholar and spent many hours every day in the Word and studying the scriptures.

Dan is survived by his loving mother, Lois Huber, Coeur d’Alene, ID; his father, Dick Spencer, Arlington, WA; his four brothers: Randy (Maralee) Spencer, Pullman, WA, Mike (Connie) Spencer, Aberdeen, WA, Rick (Donna) Spencer, Coeur d’Alene, ID, Craig (Sue) Spencer, Mount Vernon, WA; step sister, Patti Latham, Coeur d’Alene, ID.

His cherished children: Dan (Devyn) Spencer, two little granddaughters, Khloe Lauree and Kennadi Renee, Stanwood, WA, Andy Spencer, Stanwood, WA, and Tina Spencer, Covington, WA; uncle Bruce Spencer, Ela Conner, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dan was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Louise Spencer; grandparents, Nyra and Gene Spencer; grandmother, Eunice Prentice; grandfather, Bert Dunham.

Memorial Services entrusted to Gilbertsons Funeral Home, Stanwood, WA.

Burial in Anderson Cemetery, Pioneer Hwy, Stanwood, WA.
