Obituary: Kelly, Frances

KELLY, Frances Frances passed away peacefully at home; fifteen days after her husband of 56 years, Dale, joining him in Heaven on September 29, 2014 at the age of 88.

She was born on June 25, 1926 in Chewelah, WA to Gust and Leona Lunden above a pool hall.

She grew up in Hillyard, attending Rogers High School.

She worked at Hostess Bakery, and then drove Yellow Cab which led her to meeting the love of her life, Dale, and they married August 16, 1958.

With a passion for sewing, she worked at several upholstery shops in Spokane until opening her own business, Stitch-N-Tack.

She was a kind, compassionate, and generous woman who easily made friends with everyone she met, adored all animals, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Dale, her parents, and her brothers: Gust, Sidney (Dorothy), her son Richard Jones, and brother-in-law Keith Titus.

Survived by her daughters: Jackie Stockwell (Frank), Shannon Vinneau (Bryan), her sister Laura Titus, and daughter-in-law Cathy Jones, her seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend sincere appreciation and gratitude for the care given to Mom by her grandson Todd Kilmer and his wife Debbie, allowing Mom to remain in her home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Horizon Hospice of Spokane.

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

No funeral services will be held at her request.
