Mountaineers run past Ragin’ Cajuns
Marcus Cox rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Appalachian State Mountaineers to a 35-16 victory over the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns on Saturday in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Louisiana-Monroe 30, New Mexico State 17: Pete Thomas threw for 350 yards and one TD and the visiting Warhawks handled the Aggies.
Clemson 28, Georgia State 0: Freshman Tyshon Dye rushed for 124 yards and two TDs and the Tigers (8-3) handed the Panthers their 10th straight loss, with a victory in Clemson, South Carolina.
South Carolina 37, South Alabama 12: Dylan Thompson threw for 237 yards and a score as the Gamecocks (6-5) assured coach Steve Spurrier his 24th straight season with at least six wins with a victory over the visiting Jaguars.
