Obituary: Kuhn, Dian Elizabeth (Karr)
Age 65
Sadly, after a three month fight, Dian lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
She was 64.
Dian was born on November 27, 1949.
She was the youngest daughter of two school teachers: Benjamin and Helen Karr.
She grew up in Medical Lake, WA and later moved to Spokane.
Dian graduated from North Central High School in 1968.
She married James Kuhn in 1978.
In 1983 they welcomed their only child, daughter, Kelly.
Dian loved being a mom and “Auntie”.
Dian was a bank teller for 30+ years and retired in 1998 to enjoy the things she loved most: Travel, spending time with family and friends, shopping, playing cards, and in recent years spending precious time with her granddaughter Piper and great-nephews R.C.
and Rocky Wells.
Dian was a pet lover and this would not be complete without mentioning the love for her dog, Henery (Boo-Boo).
People would describe her as the most genuine, loving, giving, selfless person they had ever met.
Blood or not, she only knew one way to love…with her entire being!
Dian was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years James Kuhn; her daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Dan Dvorak; her only grandchild Piper Dvorak; her aunt Patricia Schabert, and many cousins; her sister and brother-in-law Mary and Roger Prang; and her many nieces, nephews and countless friends to whom she was affectionately known as “Auntie”.
Dian Kuhn will be buried in a private ceremony on the morning of November 20, 2014.
A memorial will take place on November 20th at 11:00a.m.at River Christian Church 5201 N. Market St., Spokane WA 99217.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dian’s life.
Dian loved children and animals.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the pet charity of your choice.
