Obituary: Blowers, Leroy Dennis
LeRoy was born on December 16, 1946, in Omaha, Nebraska to Roy and Leonette Blowers.
After graduating from high school in 1966, LeRoy enlisted in the Air Force and he specialized in aircraft mechanics.
He was proud of his country where he served in Vietnam during the war.
LeRoy was a kind, loving man who was always willing to help anyone.
He never complained and found joy in the simple things in life.
He loved his coffee, campfires, traveling, reading and going to breakfast.
His happiest day was the day Virginia agreed to marry him.
All he could say was, “I am so happy!
I finally have a real family!”
LeRoy was a member of the Dancing Shadows Square Dance Club and 1000 Trails.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his first wife, Theresa Brosky; parents, Roy and Leonette; and sisters, Verla and Tami.
He is survived by his wife and companion of 20 years, Virginia; daughters, LeAnn (Randy), Michele (Glen); grandchildren, Mikel (Holly) and MaKenzie; his sisters, Chris (Tim), Sandy; brother, David; sister-in-law, Pat; uncle Dan and aunt Jean; and several cousins, nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to Mann Grandstaff Veteran’s Medical Center’s ICU team and medical team in the Community Living Center for the compassionate and loving care they provided to LeRoy these past few months.
A Celebration of LeRoy’s life will be held at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m..
