Converted Creatures - Creatures are invading the library! Explore where they might have come from and celebrate National Recycling Week by constructing your own creature out of recycled items. For kids in grades K-5 at this month’s Kids Explore & Discover Club. Each month, we explore a different aspect of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. A T-Rex Named Sue - Through Jan. 4. See a fully assembled skeleton cast of the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered. The exhibition, assembled at Mobius Science Center, will also feature visitor controlled mechanical models, videos, and free-standing interactive exhibits. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mobius Science Center, 811 W. “Felts Field - 1927 National Air Races” - Spokane Valley once hosted the most popular flying event in the nation. Celebrity and military pilots performed death-defying stunts and displayed the latest in flight technology of the time, through Dec. 30. National Veterans Day Run - The second annual National Veterans Day Run offers an 11K, 5K and a 1-mile family and supporter walk/run. Start/finish line in the Clocktower Meadow.
