Out & About: Geology talk soars over Ice Age floods

OUTFLY – Fasten your seat belts for a geology program that uses technology, personal aircraft and video footage to “fly” viewers over the Ice Age Floods from Lake Missoula to Wallula Gap.

The program by geologist Tom Tabbert will start at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Eastern Washington University, Science Building, Room 137, in Cheney.

Tabbert has used his Trike aircraft to explore features of the great floods of 12,000-18,000 years ago and the aftermath of carved canyons, potholes and scabland washes through Eastern Washington.
