Obituary: Pavlak, Bonnie
Age 91
Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Bob.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Kathy) Pavlak of Montclair, Virginia; her daughter, Pat Pavlak of Goodyear, Arizona; her daughter Peggy (Jon) Alley, of Goodyear, Arizona; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Bonnie was born on January 31, 1923, in Bruce, Wisconsin, where she enjoyed a wonderful childhood.
She married her high school sweetheart, Bob Pavlak, in 1946.
They relocated from Bruce to Spokane in 1948.
Bob’s career in the U.S. Army kept the family on the move to various duty stations in the U.S. and overseas, but Spokane was always home base.
When Bob retired from the military in 1970, the Pavlaks became active members of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish and made numerous close friends.
When Bob died in 2001, Bonnie stayed in Spokane until 2009, when failing health dictated she move closer to her children.
Her heart remained in Spokane, though, and she spoke nearly every day of her home there and many friends.
Bonnie was a devoted and loving wife, wonderful mother, and devout Roman Catholic.
Her faith provided solace during some difficult health challenges.
Her family will love and miss her forever.
We are comforted to know that Mom is now with The Lord and reunited with Dad for eternity.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
