Jeff Norton is out as Lewis and Clark’s boys basketball coach but will remain as the school’s athletic director, sources have confirmed.

Sources said the search for a new head coach will start immediately and Norton will take a backseat in the final decision.

Norton declined to comment about the situation.

Norton served as LC’s boys coach for nine seasons and has spent over 30 years working in the school’s athletic program.

In his nine seasons, Norton was 63-102 in the Greater Spokane League, 73-117 overall.

Norton was the interim head coach of the girls varsity basketball program for one season and also served as the boys tennis coach for 15 years, winning five league championships.
