Thank-you to voters in library election

On behalf of the Spokane County Library District board of trustees, I want to thank the voters who turned out for the recent library bond election.

A special thanks to the volunteers who canvassed neighborhoods to encourage residents to vote on this important issue. A majority of voters approved the formation of a capital facilities area and funding. Unfortunately, a supermajority was needed to approve the funding proposition.

As Spokane County Library District trustees, we will continue to guide the district and dedicate existing resources to support the wide array of programs, services and materials that serve people of all ages. We are committed to the library district’s mission to inspire learning, advance knowledge and connect communities.

Thank you to everyone who voted, letting the voice of the people be heard.
