Obituary: Wahl, Billie
Age 84
She spent most of her adolescence in Billings, Montana and moved to Washington with her husband in the mid-forties.
She had five boys by the time she was 23 years old.
At age 24, her husband abandoned the family and she was forced to place three boys in an orphanage and the other two in foster care.
After one year of hard work and perseverance, she was able to bring her children home to Peaceful Valley.
There she met her husband of 51 years, David Otto Wahl, who preceded her in death in 2010.
Billie was ever-grateful to David, the love of her life, for stepping in as a father figure to her boys.
Through the years, they both held various jobs and were active members of the Eagles in Spokane and Deer Park.
They enjoyed a long retirement and spent their time fishing, gardening, and with family.
Billie is survived by her five sons, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice of Spokane.
It was Billie’s wish that no service be held and that any desired donations be made to Hospice of Spokane.
