Henrique: fire on ice
The hottest goal scorer since the NHL resumed play following the Olympics? Adam Henrique of the New Jersey Devils, and it’s not even close. The 24-year-old has nine goals in the Devils’ six games since play resumed two weeks ago, getting at least one in every game and four in the last two. The six-game goal-scoring streak, giving the third-year player a career-high 23, is the second longest in the league this season, a game behind Anaheim’s Corey Perry. Heading into Monday games, three shared the second-highest goal total with six. “It’s going well right now,” Henrique said. “The pucks are going in. I am trying to simplify my game. I didn’t change anything. I am just trying to shoot the puck more when I have an opportunity. … Hopefully it will continue.” – Associated Press
