Obituary: Welch, Ann Marie (Pearson)
Age 85
She was born in Spokane to James and Georgia (Doughtery) Pearson on June 22, 1929.
She was the second of their four children.
Ann married Bob Welch on September 2, 1950.
Ann enjoyed and excelled in many artistic endeavors.
She loved drawing, painting, photography, and hand quilting beautiful quilts.
One of her favorite things was to go on road trips with her beloved little sister and best friend, Janet.
Ann also enjoyed Bunco and many card games with her friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Welch; her brother, Keith; and nephew, Mark Pearson.
She is survived by her sister, Janet (Bob) Rowles; brother, Stu Pearson; her six children, Shannon Welch, Mo (Joe) Palmer, Mary (Stan) Kuwada, Rosie (Matt) Becker, Pat (Jim) Wolters, and Tom Welch.
She is also survived by ten grandchildren; Bryan Bailey, Beth Arcese, Matt Palmer, Katie (JP) Brunner, Roxie Palmer, Sam (Jilian) Becker, Zach (Julie) Becker, David Becker, Megan Becker, and Sarah (Darius) Wills; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Ann’s family would like to thank Armando and Kaye at Care N Comfort adult family home for their excellent, loving, and compassionate care over the last few years.
We also would like to thank Nurse Judy at Horizon Hospice for caring for Mom and her family so well.
A military salute for Bob, a short service and interment for both Ann and Bob will be at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery 21702 W. Espanola Rd., Medical Lake, WA beginning at 11:15AM, Friday, June 20, 2014.
A wake for Ann will follow at the Palmer home, 12114 S. Hatch Rd., Spokane, WA.
