Police have suspect in 2012 killing

Spokane Police say they have solved a 2012 West Central homicide. Detectives are accusing Bud Ray Brown, 31, of killing David “Brandon” Deponte. Deponte’s body was found with mulitple gunshots to the head in an alley near Bridge Avenue and Cannon Street in December 2012. Brown is currently in a federal prison in Coleman, Florida. He is expected to be brought to Spokane to face a murder charge. Police also are seeking 28-year-old Alicia C. Sweet on suspicision that she helped Brown.
