Obituary: Garwood, Robert G.

GARWOOD, Robert G. (Age 85) Robert passed away in Spokane on May 25, 2014 at Hospice House of Spokane.

He was born on April 10, 1929 to Louis and Hazel Garwood in Butte, Montana.

Robert is survived by his sons Robert L. Garwood and Steven C. Garwood, and four grandchildren; Jade, Nina, Parker, and Breanna.

He has been a resident of Spokane for the past 44 years and was a regional vice president for Placer Dome Mining Company where his work contributed to the opening of several gold and silver mines in the United States.

He was past president of the Northwest Mining Association and past president of the Spokane Americans Youth Hockey Association.

Robert loved doing things for his friends and family and he will be missed.
