Applicants sought for two county positions

Spokane County commissioners are seeking applicants for openings on the Spokane County Library District board of trustees and the Civil Service Commission.

The library district position will fill the remaining term of Daniel J. Davis, which expires on Dec. 31. The appointee would then need to reapply for the next five-year term through 2019.

County commissioners said they are hoping for applicants from Spokane Valley.

The Civil Service Commission needs to fill an unexpired term that runs through 2017.
