Photo: Wallace plays the blues

For the third year, Wallace will be blue this weekend. And it’s a good thing. The annual Wallace Blues Festival brings together regional and national blues musicians for a weekend of fun in the historic Silver Valley community. Local favorites Sammy Eubanks, Laffin’ Bones and Bakin’ Phat are on the bill, as are national acts the Chris O’Leary Band and David Raitt and the Baja Boogie Band. O’Leary, pictured, spent six years fronting Levon Helm’s band the Barnburners, and has shared the stage with the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Dave Edmunds and Dan Aykroyd. Tickets to the festival are $35 at the gate and are good all weekend. For a full lineup and other details, visit http://wallace-id.com/bluesfest2014.html.
