Age 77

SCHILTER, Bonnie A.

(Imhof) (Age 77) Bonnie passed away on June 20, 2014 while at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, from Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma with family at her side.

Bonnie was born the eldest of four children to John and Anna Marie Imhof in Ferndale, Washington on April 21st 1937.

Being of Swiss heritage, she met her husband Joe at a Swiss dance in Tacoma and they were married on May 14, 1960.

They moved all around the state, living in Seattle, Aberdeen, Tacoma, Marysville, Burlington, Wenatchee and finally settling in Spokane.

Bonnie loved art and saw life through the eyes of an artist.

She often painted the things of life she most loved to see and expressed her love of life through her paintings.

Bonnie also loved to sew, crochet and knit and was often working on projects she would share with her family and friends.

She loved spending time with her nine grandchildren whether it was watching them in sporting events, teaching them to paint or engaging them in conversations.

Bonnie also loved to visit with her morning coffee friends down at the Trading Post and this she looked forward to each day.

She loved to have visitors and always welcomed and offered those passing through a place to stay.

Bonnie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Parish for 40 years.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Joseph and sister, Linda Britschgi.

She is survived by her brother John Imhof and sister Rebecca Iverson; her three children, Daniel (Maureen) Schilter ( Silverlake, WA) ,Julie (John) Hanners (Snoqualmie, WA), Sandy (Kevin) Aukerman (Chattaroy, WA) and her grandchildren; Tessa, Chelsea, Joseph, Daniel, Anna, JD, Jessica, Nick and Kortney.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 19th at 2:00 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 304 S. Adams Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
