Obituary: Osmundson, Doris E.
Age 72
Doris was born on July 8, 1942 in Unity Township, Clark County, Wisconsin, daughter of Adam and Elsie (Blaese) Lotzgesell.
She married James L. Osmundson on June 25, 1977 in Watertown, Wisconsin.
Doris was formerly employed by Wisconsin Telephone Company as a supplies handler.
She belonged to St. Luke Lutheran Church in Spokane and for a number of years had been active with Boy Scout Troop 201 at St. Luke’s.
Most recently she helped at St. Luke’s by stocking the pews with pencils and prayer request forms.
As a neighbor, she took care of the homes next door while neighbors were away.
As a friend, she was known as the “jelly lady” for supplying the best freezer jam ever.
As a grandmother, she was Grandma Dori to her five grandchildren, her favorite title in the world.
As a wife, she was simply the best.
We will miss her terribly every day.
Surviving Doris are her husband of 37 years, James; son, Bryan (Dawn) Osmundson of Renton, WA; daughter, Rebecca (Joe) Scott of Oak Harbor, WA; son, Thomas Osmundson of Renton, WA; five grand- children: Andrew Osmundson, Emma Scott, Mara Scott, Ian Scott, and Clara Scott.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 7, 2014 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA 99205.
Funeral services will be July 8, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9706 N. Division St., Spokane, WA 99218.
Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
