Obituary: Damschen, Warren Wade
Age 54
Born in Lewistown, Montana to the late Ken and Alberta Damschen, Warren grew up loving the majestic mountains and Big Sky scenery for which Montana is widely known.
At the age of 18, he married his high school sweetheart, LaRae Arthur, and together they shared 36 years of marriage.
In 1986, they relocated to Davenport, Washington where they raised three beautiful girls and formed many cherished friendships.
As a General Contractor, Warren was dedicated to providing quality work and ensuring the satisfaction of his customers.
After surviving a heart attack in 1990, Warren followed his dream and pursued a calling in ministry.
He attended Moody Bible Institute and spent the remainder of his life putting the needs of others before his own.
In June of 1994, Warren was called to the pulpit of Lake Roosevelt Bible Church, where he pastored for two decades.
In addition to the time spent with his wife, daughters and congregation, Warren cherished the quality time he spent with his grandchildren.
He was a hands on “Papa” and loved taking his grandchildren to the barn, boating on the lake, talking with them about tractors, and making special efforts to join them on school lunch dates.
He also enjoyed fishing and gardening, and had a strong love for his animals.
Warren was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes.
He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and humble spirit.
Compassionate and caring, he had a way of making those around him feel like they had a true friend.
He lived each day with integrity and was highly respected in the community in which he lived.
He enjoyed life to the fullest and took pride in all he pursued.
Beloved husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, pastor and dear friend to many, Warren created a legacy those around him will never forget.
Warren was preceded in death by his father Kenneth; mother Alberta; brother Kevin; nephew Jared; and granddaughter Emma.
He is survived by his wife LaRae; children Shilo Cain (Brad), Shannon Sewall (Jeremy), Shayna Vedadi (Jason); brothers Randy (Laura), Andy (Heather); sisters Faith (Bill), Hope (Brian), and Cara; grandchildren Gabriel, Samuel and Victoria Cain; Brilee, Lane, Scout and Daxton Sewall; Lincoln Vedadi; and many nieces and nephews.
His gentle soul will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched.
A celebration of life will be held at the Davenport Middle School Gymnasium at 2 pm on Saturday, February 1st.
