Age 56
A resident of Spokane Valley, WA., for over 30 years; she passed on January 14, 2014 at 12:50pm.
Debbie came into this world on October 9, 1957 in Missoula, MT.
She was the child of Ella and Earl Lalonde.
Beloved sister to Ray, Gordon, Joan and Jim.
Debbie attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School in Missoula, MT., where she continuously kept the nuns on their toes.
Debbie was best known for her nurturing heart, generous cooking, contagious smile and entertaining sense of humor.
She married her “mouse man”, John Griffin, on April 6, 1985 in Spokane, WA.
Debbie attended Spokane Falls Community College and received her degree in Graphic Design.
She began her career at the Icelandic Horse Magazine and later joined Sir Speedy Printing.
She worked for the Spokesman Review for 10 years.
During her time, she entertained many.
She volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club mentoring youth in after-school programming.
Debbie resided in Billings, MT., Missoula, MT., and Spokane, WA.
Debbie loved to tell animated stories, make people laugh, cook enormous meals, care for her two corgi’s (Elton and Earl) and her cat Panda, watch the Young and the Restless and listen to the Eagles.
Debbie is survived by her husband, John Griffin of Spokane, WA; her son, Nick Jarosch of Colfax, WA; her daughter, Abbi Griffin of Seattle, WA; her grandson, Zachary Jarosch of Colfax, WA; her granddaughter, Nichole Jarosch of Colfax, WA; her grandson, Calen Jarosch of Colfax, WA; her sister, Joan Smith of Spokane, WA; and her brother, Jim Lalonde of Seattle, WA.
Debbie is going to be welcomed into heaven by her mother and father, Earl and Ella Lalonde; her brothers, Ray and Gordon Lalonde; her mother and father in-law, Jim and Betty Griffin; along with countless friends and pets.
