Obituary: Gustafson, Corinne Eris (Johnson)

GUSTAFSON, Corinne Eris (Johnson) Our beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2014.

Corinne was the first born child to Erick and Esther Johnson, March 13, 1923 in Milaca, MN., moving to Spokane, WA., when she was three years old.

A graduate of Lewis and Clark High School, Deaconess School of Nursing, and joined the Army Nurses Corp.

Following discharge in 1947, she returned to work at Deaconess Hospital as Head of Surgury.

Corinne married Adolf Gustafson April 14, 1948.

She retired from nursing in 1961 to raise their son Gary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Adolf; and sister, Gloria (Prahl).

Corinne is survived by son, Gary; brothers, Gerald Johnson (Jeanette), Erick Johnson (Sharon); sisters, Christine (Robert)Tweedy, and Margaret Knapp; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service to honor her life will take place at Moran United Methodist Church, 3601 E. 65th, Spokane, 99223, at 11AM, Saturday February 15, 2014.
