Coeur d’Alene asks for residents’ help in police chief search

Coeur d’Alene is searching for a resident to participate in the process of hiring the city’s next police chief.

Mayor Steve Widmyer has formed a 14-member committee to interview candidates, and there is a vacancy for a community-at-large representative.

Any city resident is welcome to apply by Feb. 7 for the position. Candidates should provide a written statement that explains why they are interested in being on the committee, along with a resume.
