Stolen money spent at store, police say
Two accomplices to an armed robbery of the Maverick Gas Station in Cheney were identified by police after one returned to the gas station the same day to buy cigarettes with cash presumably taken during the robbery, according to reports.
Cheney police suspect Kayla-Rose Bloomer, 21, and Terrie R. Evans, 25, helped a 16-year-old boy steal about $180 in cash from the gas station Dec. 16 by giving him a gun, mask, bandanna and hat to use during the robbery.
Both were arrested. The teenager also has been arrested.
Police identified Bloomer and Evans as suspects after Bloomer returned to the gas station about four hours after the robbery and paid about $75 in cash for a carton of cigarettes. Multiple Maverick employees told police Bloomer was a regular customer who usually only bought single packs of cigarettes with pocket change, and found it suspicious that she had such a large amount of cash, according to reports.
