Obituary: Griffey, Harold L.
Age 70
He was born November 30, 1944 in Maryville, Missouri.
Harold lived in the Spokane area for 66 years.
Harold graduated from Medical Lake High School and shortly after joined the Navy where he served in Vietnam as a Radarman and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and a Vietnam Campaign Medal.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Harold began his 34 year career with the BNSF railroad as a Steel Gang Foreman and Tie Gang Foreman, finally retiring in 2004.
Harold enjoyed playing darts and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine E. (Maidhoff) Griffey; daughter, Karen Griffey and two sons, Steven Griffey and Gary Griffey; he is also survived by one brother, four sisters, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends, who will miss him dearly.
The Memorial Service will be December 20, 2014, 12:30PM, at the Medical Lake High School Auditorium.
The Inurnment will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Medical Lake, Dec. 22, 2014 at 1:30PM.
