Five Eagles named All-Americans
Five Eastern Washington players have been named to the College Sports Madness All-American team.
Offensive tackle Jake Rodgers received his first All-America recognition by earning first-team honors, joining repeat selections Vernon Adams Jr. and Cooper Kupp.
Linebacker Ronnie Hamlin, an All-American in 2012 and 2013, earned second-team accolades, and safety Tevin McDonald picked up his first All-America honor as a third-team pick.
All five were recently selected as first-team All-Big Sky Conference selections, with Adams selected as the league’s Offensive Player of the Year.
The Eagles have had 22 offensive linemen earn All-America accolades in the last 22 years (1993-2014) while winning 24 first-team All-Big Sky Conference honors (1993-2014). Tackle Jake Rodgers became the 22nd All-American in 2014. He and guard Aaron Neary became the 23rd and 24th first-team All-Big Sky selections.
College Sports Madness also selected an All-Big Sky Conference team. Eastern head coach Beau Baldwin was selected as the Coach of the Year.
