Obituary: Green, Glen W.

GREEN, Glen W. (Age 95) Glen W. Green, age 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2014.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, of 74 years; his loving daughters Kathy Green and Dorene Reed, son-in-law Mike Reed; sister Sylvia Garner; numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends in the Spokane area.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Muriel Baker and Dorothy Florman, and three brothers, Ted, Earl, and Bob Green.

Glen was born in Montana, and moved with his large family to Spokane as a young boy.

He met the love of his life, Mary Scally, and promptly married her.

They spent the next 74 years together, never leaving each other’s side, years of true love and dedication to each other and their family.

Glen spent over 40 years as a successful Spokane businessman, owning and operating the Glen W. Green Cabinet Shop.

His company built and installed the finest quality custom cabinets for schools, libraries, hospitals, and other businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Glen’s lifelong dream was to travel the world with his beautiful wife, Mary, and that they did.

For almost the last 40 years of his life, they traveled to almost every country, and all seven continents, of the globe.

If Glen’s life could be summed up in a few words, they would be that he was a loving husband and wonderful provider, a devoted father that cherished his daughters, a supportive brother to his siblings, relatives, and friends, a very hard working and successful individual, and a man that knew how to enjoy life.

Glen will be dearly missed by his family, and they would like to thank all those that touched his life.

A private service will be held at a later date.
