Man thrown from car in crash

A Moses Lake man is in critical condition at a Wenatchee Hospital after he was ejected from his rolling car in Grant County Wednesday evening.

Trenton Wilson, 25, was driving his 2001 Dodge south on Road M NE near Road 11 NE behind a semitruck, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The semi slowed to take a wide right turn and Wilson lost control while trying to avoid hitting the truck.

His Dodge went off the road and rolled several times before hitting a power pole. Wilson was not wearing a seat belt. He was unconscious when rescue crews arrived and was taken to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee by Med-Star, the sheriff’s office said.

The crash is under investigation.

Woman recovering after jump

A 64-year-old woman who jumped from the roof of her retirement center in Lacey is in stable condition at Providence St. Peter Hospital, a spokeswoman said.

The woman jumped from her third-story balcony, according to a Lacey police report Monday.

“She was mad because her friend would not come visit her and she was denied more pain medication by the facility,” the police officer’s report states.

She jumped off her balcony, landed on the second-story roof, and then jumped off the lowest point of the roof onto the ground.

She was later taken to the hospital by ambulance. A hospital nursing supervisor said she had orthopedic-type injuries.
