Obituary: Chuvala, Richard Martin Chase
He was born to Stephen Chuvala and Alma Chase on June 22, 1940 and raised in Danbury, Connecticut.
Richard was a machinist and most recently worked for Eemco in Post Falls, ID.
Richard was a kind and gentle person, who gave of himself in the service of others.
Often his kind deeds were unnoticed because he did not do them for praise.
He loved NASCAR, and was a Jeff Gordon fan.
He was an avid Spokane Chiefs fan and a regular in the seats.
He was a Yankee fan but after living in LA converted and became a Dodgers fan.
He loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed gardening and doing yard work.
Richard was active in his church and with the North Idaho Aids Coalition.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and recently a brother Raymond.
He is survived by his siblings Ysabel Chuvala, Lynne Kearney, and Keith and Kevin Chuvala as well as a niece Elizabeth Kearney D’Amico.
A memorial service will be held in Richard’s honor Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:30am at the Veradale United Church of Christ, 611 N. Progress Rd., Veradale, WA.
