Obituary: Geddes, Jack L.

Age 86

GEDDES, Jack L. Master Sergeant, USAF, Ret.

(Age 85) Jack L. Geddes passed away August 12, 2014 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Jack was born to Alfred and Mary (Bouie) Geddes on August 18, 1928 in Emerson, Canada.

Jack was raised in Pembina, North Dakota.

Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1947.

Jack was united in marriage to Shirley Tomsik in 1951.

Together they had five children.

Jack and Shirley spent time in the French Morocco and at various Air Force bases in the United States.

Jack retired from the USAF in 1967 at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington.

Jack went on to start and run his own office supply and business furniture store.

In 1977 Shirley passed away and it was not until 1995 that Jack met his next partner Patsy Ulrey.

Jack and Patsy were united in marriage in 1996.

Jack was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Elks and the Rotary Club.

In his free time Jack enjoyed collecting stamps and playing poker.

Jack loved spending time with his family.

Jack is survived by his wife Patsy, of Kellogg, Idaho; four children from his first marriage: Vinetta (Jeff) Macpherson, of Spokane, Washington, Jacqueline (Marshall Shapiro) Geddes, of Portland, Oregon, Rebecca Geddes, of Spokane, Washington and Daniel Geddes, of Spokane, Washington.

He is also survived by two children from his second marriage: Kellie (Ron) Geisler and Kirby (Cindy) Ulrey.

Jack is also survived by five grandchildren: Jesse Geddes, Heather Macpherson, Jeffrey Macpherson, Cody Geisler and Kyrie Geisler, three great-grandchildren and his dogs August and Freeman.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Wallace, Idaho.

Inurnment will take place at Medical Lake Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
