Obituary: Frazier, Harry Edward

Age 88

FRAZIER, Harry Edward (Age 88) Harry passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2014 surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his bride of 68 years, Beverly J. Frazier and seven children: Gregory G. (Linda) Frazier, St. Pete Beach FL; Thomas K. Frazier, Scottsdale, AZ; Barbara A. Sater, Post Falls, ID; Douglas S. Frazier, Spokane Valley, WA; Robert F. (Kathy) Frazier, E. Wenatchee, WA; Deborah M. (Eric) Massey, Spokane, WA; Laurie F. (Jeff) Brown, Bellingham, WA; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by in death by his two sons, Michael E. and Daniel J. Frazier; and his mother, Olga E. Brainard.

Harry was born, an only child, on April 1, 1926 in Spokane WA and attended school at Sacred Heart Grade School, Gonzaga High School in Spokane and St. Martins Seminary in Olympia WA.

Following high school, he enlisted in the US Navy, 1943, and served three of the four years in the South Pacific as a Medical Corpsman.

He also served two years in the US Army during the Korean War.

He married Beverly J. Gabriel, and they had nine children.

During his lifetime Harry was employed by Standard Oil Co., and Richfield Oil Co., as a retail sales representative before becoming a Real Estate Broker in Spokane.

He was a proud member of The Knights of Columbus and served as a member on the Spokane Board of Realtors.

He was also an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spokane Valley.

He and Beverly enjoyed traveling to Florida and Arizona to visit family.

Harry will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and compassion for people.

One of his favorite sayings was, “It is not a good deal for anyone, unless it is a good deal for everyone”.

Three words that best described his philosophy of life were “Illegitimate Non Carborundum”.

Memorial Services will be held August 7, 2014 at 1:30 pm at St. Joseph’s Chapel and Cemetery located at 17825 E Trent Ave, Spokane Valley.
