The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman whose body was found Friday on the porch of a mobile home south of Spokane.

A neighbor called 911 shortly after 12:30 p.m. Friday to report seeing the woman on the porch of a home in the Mullen Hill Terrace mobile home park, 8900 S. Mullen Hill Road, and asked paramedics to check on her. The woman had marks on her body and deputies are treating it as a suspicious death, said Sgt. Bill Beeman.

Deputies canvassed the neighborhood asking residents if they saw or heard anything suspicious, Beeman said, but many people were at work.

“We don’t really know if anything has gone on (here) in the last 24 hours,” he said.

Major Crimes detectives are handling the investigation. The woman’s identity will be released by the Spokane County medical examiner’s office after an autopsy.
