Report: Lexi Bando skips out on Gonzaga women’s basketball

The Gonzaga women’s basketball team has lost one if its prized recruits as a guard from Eugene has been released from her letter of intent to play for the Bulldogs and instead will follow Kelly Graves to Oregon.

Graves earler said he had not contacted Lexi Bando, a 5-9 guard from Willamette High School in Eugene but she apparently has decided to stay at home, according to published reports in the Eugene Register-Guard. Media reports out of Montana indicate that 6-3 forward Jill Barta, from Fairfield, Mont., was having second thoughts about attending Gonzaga as well.

Efforts to reach Gonzaga coach Lisa Fortier were unsuccessful Tuesday evening.
