Obituary: Johnson, Marjorie Lee

Age 77

JOHNSON, Marjorie Lee (Age 77) Marjorie Lee Johnson passed from this life to the next surrounded by her family.

Marjorie was born in Conrad, Montana to Frances and Austa Dahlstrom on November 13,1936.

She was the baby of the family and is survived by her sister Dona Thompson (husband Richard) and Frances Ruth Mattix (husband Delbert).

She was preceded in death by her brother, Frances Roy Dahlstrom.

Marjorie graduated from Dayton High School and shortly thereafter moved to Spokane, Washington.

It was there that she met and married Orville Wayne Johnson, who preceded her in death in 2005.

Marjorie and Wayne had three children, Eric Wayne Johnson (wife Valerie), Lori Lynn Staley (husband Albert), and Diana Kay Morrison (husband Robin).

Marjorie worked for many years for Drs.

Van Dorn and Johnson at 5th and Thor and was instrumental at getting the City to install a light at that busy intersection.

She went on to work for various doctors, spending the last years of her career as the office manager for Spokane Digestive Disease Center.

Marjorie loved quilting, crotcheting, crafts, cards and during the last few years she especially enjoyed playing online Seek and Find games as well as casino slots.

However she loved her grandchildren most of all, Wallace Kyle Woodard, Erika A. Walker (husband Brandon), Erinn K. Morrison, Elizabeth “Libby” Love, Michael S. Johnson, Andrew S. Morrison and Tracy Morrison (wife Kristi) and her first great-grandchild, Harper Morrison.

She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

For the last four years of her life, Marjorie enjoyed an exciting and romantic relationship with Ernest Topolnisky, who brought many days of laughter, joy and love back into her life.

A celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held this Friday, May 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm at her home church, Beyond Grace Fellowship, 1012 South Freya, Spokane, WA.
