Second man arrested in deli robbery

A second suspect in a Coeur d’Alene deli robbery was arrested this morning in the Lowe’s parking lot in Coeur d’Alene. Andrew Jared Reed was taken into custody without incident, a news release from the Coeur d’Alene Police Department said. Reed was taken to the Kootenai County Public Safety Building and is being held on a $100,000 bond.

One man has been arrested and detectives are seeking an arrest warrant for another in relation to the robbery of Piggie’s Deli, at 2001 E. Sherman Ave. in Coeur d’Alene on Monday. Tony A. Shope was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of robbery, a news release from the Coeur d’Alene Police Department said. Detectives are looking for Andrew Jared Reed, 24, of Coeur d’Alene, who they suspect was also involved in the robbery. The Piggie’s robbery, committed at gunpoint, was the fourth reported in Kootenai County since Oct. 26, a Coeur d’Alene Police spokeswoman said.
