Obituary: Bendewald, Gloria Jean (Hanson)
Age 60
Gloria was a lifelong resident of Spokane, born here on October 23, 1952.
She grew up in the Spokane Valley and attended school in the Central Valley School District.
Gloria married Bob Cox on January 30th, 1970, and they had their daughter, Denise.
She married Erv Bendewald on February 2nd, 1981.
They spent many years in the Spokane Valley.
Gloria later spent several years working at Spokane Community College in both the Aviation and Heavy Equipment departments.
Gloria was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; father, Harold; mother, June; older sister, Sharon and younger brother, Ronnie.
She is survived by daughter, Denise Sutton and her husband Paco and their children Cole and Gracie; brothers, Jim (Dee), Doug (Terri), Brian, and sister Rose (Tony) and several nieces and nephews.
She was also blessed with many friends and close cousins that were in her life, including her lifelong friend, Diana Tesdal.
Gloria’s grandchildren Cole and Gracie were the light of her life and she will live on forever in their memories.
We take great comfort in knowing that she is free from pain and that we will be reunited again with her one day.
Per Gloria’s request there will be no funeral and the family will hold a special memorial this summer.
