Education Notebook: ‘Storage Wars’-like auction to benefit G-Prep seniors
Parents of Gonzaga Prep seniors will have a “Storage Wars” of their own, similar to the television show. The storage auction will be March 23 at Valley Self Storage, 11128 E. Sprague Ave., at 10 a.m.
Parents have been preparing for the fundraiser by doing some early spring cleaning and filling up one of the storage units at Valley Storage. Just like A&E’s “Storage Wars,” people will have five minutes to view the contents of the storage unit from the door until the bidding begins and then buyers have the opportunity to find that potential hidden treasure.
The event is part of Valley Storage’s monthly storage auctions, done when storage units are 60 days delinquent. The business is donating the space, time, staff and auctioneer for the Gonzaga Prep benefit.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit Prep’s Senior All-Nighter.
For information and to donate items to the storage space call Marguerite Michels at (509) 448-9601.
