Obituary: Feezell, Mary

Age 63

FEEZELL, Mary “Why are you crying?”

she would have asked.

This should be a time of rejoicing for our beloved Miss Feezell, as she was reunited with our Heavenly Father in the early hours of March 11.

During her long tenure teaching at All Saints Catholic School, Mary touched many lives with her childlike zest, her abiding faith, and her love for everyone she met.

Mary never met a child that she felt was unteachable, and always found a way to make every child succeed.

Mary was a humble servant of God who felt it a privilege to be entrusted with such an important task.

Born in Yakima, Washington, on May 23, 1949, Mary is survived by her best friend and sister of choice, Barb Byrum; longtime friends George and Debbie Dean; her extended family of fellow teachers and staff at All Saints; and hundreds of former students and parents.

We are certain that Jill Gotzian was there to welcome Mary into heaven Monday morning.

Now the entire All Saints community has one more angel watching over them.

A Rosary Vigil will be held at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Friday, March 15, at 1:00 p.m.

Even in Mary’s long battle against cancer, she was always an example of grace and humility.

In lieu of flowers, Mary would have wanted contributions in her memory made to All Saints Catholic School.
