Age 92
(Jim) (Nov 28, 1920 - Feb 9, 2013) Born in Pittsburgh, PA. Preceded in death by Mother, Rose Ann (Murphy); Father, Michael J.; Sons PFC Patrick K; USMC (Killed in Vietnam), Bruce; wives Mary Ann (Bucci), Patricia Conger; Sisters Peggy, Rosella, Mary.
Survived by Thelma Fisher Companion/Caretaker of 12 years; sons James J. of Florida, William of Pittsburgh, PA. Niece Suzanne Lemon of Portland, OR.
He was married to Mary Ann for 34 years.
She passed away Dec. 1994.
He met Patricia they married in 1996.
Soon after their marriage she developed ALS.
He moved into the nursing home and cared for her until her passing in March, 2000.
Jim was a WWII Veteran, served in Europe as a member of U.S. Army Artillery.
Took part in the “Battle of the Bulge”.
He was very proud of his service to this Country, equally as proud of his sons who served in the Armed Forces.
Jim requested his body be donated to science.
A military service will be held at a later date, at the Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA.
He was an avid reader, had voice training in PA and loved to sing all the verses of “Ave Maria” in Latin.
Although his memory was fading he never forgot the words to “Ave Maria”.
He was also a terrific dancer.
He now rests with his “Best Girl” (his mother).
Jim’s life of pain and anguish is over.
May god wrap his arms around him and give him comfort.
Rest in peace and sleep with the Angels.
A celebration of his life, will be held on 3/14/13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Thursday Night Dance - Southside Community Center (29th&Ray)- Sponsored by Thelma Fisher - Admission is Free.
