Beaten WSU instructor recovering at home
SPOKANE — The family of Washington State University instructor David Warner who was beaten March 30 outside a Pullman bar says he is now recovering at home from a severe brain injury.
An update on the “Rally for David Warner” Facebook page says he’s undergoing physical, occupational and speech therapies.
Warner is Native American and taught in the WSU Department of Critical Culture, Gender and Race Studies.
Police have recommended assault or criminal assistance charges against five people. Two are WSU students and two are their friends. One is a friend of Warner’s who is accused of instigating the fight.
