MELVILLE, Margaret “Peggy” (Age 87) After her four children kissed her goodbye, our mom went home to the Lord on December 30, 2012, following complications of a stroke.

She was born on August 23, 1925, to Leland Carter and Margaret Mowatt Matzdorf in Devon, Montana.

She married Gerald Melville on November 12, 1944.

They moved to Washington and farmed for 22 years in the Valley area, then moved to Valley where they have resided.

Together they raised four children Anna Woodbury of Valley, WA; Fae Thompson (husband James) of Waitts Lake; Fred Melville (wife Cindy) of Waitts Lake; and Pat Niswonger (husband Jeff) of Spokane, WA.

Peggy loved and enjoyed her family, reading, crossword and regular puzzles, playing cards, and gardening/plants.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; four children, 14 grand- children, 37 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.

There will be a potluck for family and friends at the Valley Fire Hall from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2013, to share memories.

A graveside memorial service for family will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Margaret’s name to Hospice of Spokane.

Miss you mom, we’ll see you soon.
