Obituary: Evers, Billie Lou

EVERS, Billie Lou Billie Lou Evers neĂŠ Hutson passed on February 16th, 2013 in Spokane, Washington where she lived for most of her life.

Billie was born January 12th, 1928 to Lois and Herbert Hutson in Chicago, Illinois.

Billie married Stanley Norman Evers March 20th, 1948.

She is survived by her daughters Shari Montana; Melanie Tuttle; her brother, Gary Hutson; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who all love her dearly.

Billie graduated from Lewis and Clark HS and Kinman Business University.

Billie was a passionate Square dancer with Valley Cross Trailers and an avid bowler.

She was a dedicated volunteer for many organizations in Spokane including West Valley S.C.O.P.E., the Zoo, Millwood Elementary School and Millwood Presbyterian Church.

Mom, from your grandchildren: Just as life marches on so will you in your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Thank you for feeding us slum goo as kids, making us rake leaves and being brave enough to take all of us grandkids for sleepovers all at once knowing that we were never going to sleep!

Thanks for teaching us how to feed the birds at the Pack River and how to watch the squirrels in your maple trees, beading ornaments and teaching us how to crochet.

Thanks for making the afghans and potato chip scarves.

And, of course, thanks for chewing our ears.

We love you and are so happy that you are now peaceful .

A celebration of Billie’s life will be held at 2:30PM on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 at the Western Dance Center, 1901 N. Sullivan Road, Spokane Valley, Washington.
